Con Amore: Kindness

by Sasjah Miller

"Mister Blakeney, will you /please/ stop fidgeting as if you've been bitten by an army of ants last night? It is most distracting," Stephen muttered as he stopped reading and looked up just in time to catch Blakeney's guilty glance at Calamy, who looked away, red-faced.

"Oh. Oh, I see. Hold on, Mister Blakeney," he said as he handed the boy his folded banyan. Blakeney sat down on it with a grateful sigh before he picked up the book he'd been trying to read, while Stephen smiled beatifically at a startled Jack.

"Don't worry, my love, I've got a spare."
